The Blog

The original intent of this blog was to be  written while I was Mobilized in support of an Overseas Contingency Operation. As such I could not be as forth coming with exactly where I was or who I was with. Basically the names and places were changed to protect the innocent.

I hoped this blog will help me get through some of the strangeness and separation I was going through, being thousands of miles from home. I also hoped it would help me remember the times I was there, both the good and the bad, so I could take the joy in the good and learn from the bad.

It was also an attempt to share with my family and friends back home. Let them know how I was feeling and to let me know how their feeling.

I don’t know if it accomplished any of that, but I hope it did something.

Now that I’m in a new place, on a new adventure, maybe I can transform it like I’ve been trying to transform myself, and discover something new with it.

The Author

Is a member of the United States Military Reserve. He grew up in the big city in the Midwest. Most of his family, including his wonderful daughter, still lives there. He now lives in a college town on the island of the Queen far away. Again, as he is  overseas he does not want a lot about his life out on the web to help protect both the people he is with and the people back home. His friends and family know who he is. The rest will, fortunately or not, have to wait until he is able, to learn more.
